A major U.S. aircraft carrier, the USS Lincoln, has entered the U.S. Central Command area in the Indian Ocean, south of Iran, amid growing tensions. Its strike group includes three destroyers and eight squadrons of jets, including F-35 stealth fighters and F-18s, capable of firing long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles.
