The Hill will present two and a half hours of live, real-time coverage around Nexstar Media, Inc.’s California gubernatorial primary debate on Wednesday, April 22nd from 9:30PM ET to Midnight ET, delivering in-depth national analysis and reaction.
The debate will be moderated by Nikki Laurenzo, news anchor at KTXL FOX40 in Sacramento and host of Inside California Politics, and Frank Buckley, veteran morning news anchor at KTLA in Los Angeles.
Candidates who have met the polling threshold, earning at least 5 percent in Nexstar’s March statewide poll will include Chad Bianco (R), Steve Hilton (R), Katie Porter (D), and Tom Steyer (D). All candidates have accepted Nexstar’s invitation to participate.
The Hill’s coverage will be anchored by Sunrise on The Hill’s Cory Smith, joined by The Hill’s Political Editor and Host of NewsNation’s The Hill Sunday, Chris Stirewalt, with further contributions from The Hill campaign team, Decision Desk HQ, Nexstar DC Bureau and NewsNation reporters, plus political analysts.
