Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser at a press conference on Wednesday complimented the surge of federal agents in the nation’s capital, saying that the numbers are helping bring down violent crime significantly.

She also said that she supports the president’s plan to ask Congress for $2 billion to combat homelessness, crime, and improve infrastructure in the city.
