The Hill’s Live State Of The Union Coverage Hosted By NewsNation's Blake Burman

President Trump on Tuesday night will deliver his first State of the Union address in his second term before both chambers of Congress.

NewsNation’s Blake Burman is slated to anchor a live digital broadcast from 8-11:30 p.m. EST on TheHill.com and The Hill’s FAST Channel.

Additional reporting will be provided by The Hill’s White House correspondent Julia Manchester, “Rising’s” Lindsey Granger and Robby Soave, Nexstar journalist Basil John, @DecisionDeskHQOfficial’s Scott Tranter, NewsNation anchors Connell McShane and Chris Stirewalt plus NewsNation contributor @SeanMSpicer also featuring The Hill’s Niall Stanage and Alex Bolton.

The highly anticipated speech comes on the heels of the Supreme Court’s decision last week to strike down the bulk of his sweeping tariffs. The Trump administration has also faced backlash over his robust deportation agenda and Department of Homeland Security shutdown, concerns over threats of a military attack on Iran and the president’s lagging poll numbers.

Several Democrats are also preparing a show of defiance, with some planning to skip the speech entirely, others attending counter-events and some bringing guests to highlight the real-world impact of the administration’s policies.

Trump has teased that Tuesday’s speech will be “long.” He set a new record for the address to Congress last year with his remarks coming in at one hour, 39 minutes and 32 seconds.

Coverage is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. EST.
