A Massachusetts judge has sentenced Brian Walshe to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder of his wife, Ana Walshe.
The jury reached its guilty verdict earlier this week without knowing Walshe had already pleaded guilty to misleading police. During sentencing, the judge described Walshe’s actions as barbaric and incomprehensible.
Ana Walshe’s sister delivered an emotional victim impact statement, describing an unbearable emptiness left behind by her death.
